Privacy Policy
The short version: ElementWise does not collect any information about you. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Everything the app remembers stays on your device.
What the app stores, and where
To work, ElementWise saves a few things only on your own device:
- Your learning progress: lessons finished, quiz and test scores, which elements you know, and your streaks.
- Your settings, such as sound effects, haptics and notifications.
- Your answers to two questions when you first open the app (why you're learning and how much you already know). These are only used to set up your lessons.
This information is never sent to us or to anyone else. We have no servers that receive it, and we cannot see it.
What we don't do
- We don't ask for your name, email address, age or any other personal information.
- We don't use advertising or advertising identifiers.
- We don't use analytics, crash-reporting or tracking services.
- We don't sell or share any data, because we don't have any.
Purchases
The full version ("Unlock all 118") is bought through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment; we never see your name, payment details or Apple ID. The app only asks Apple whether this Apple ID owns the full version.
Notifications
If you turn on notifications, the app asks your permission and then schedules them on your device: at most one a day, such as a streak reminder or a fun fact question. They are created and shown by your phone; nothing is sent over the internet. You can turn them off any time in the app's Settings or your phone's Settings.
Children's privacy
ElementWise is designed for students, including children under 13. Because the app does not collect any personal information from anyone, it does not collect personal information from children.
Deleting your data
You can erase your progress at any time with Settings → Reset progress in the app. Deleting the app also removes everything it stored.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
